At the Port Washington Ghost Walk, every story you’ll hear comes directly from Port residents or from us, your guides, gathered as we’ve led tours and hunts through the years. These are the encounters that locals still talk about, not urban legends. It's footsteps that still follow when no one is there. The voices caught on our recorders. The things seen, felt, and experienced in this very town. Welcome to Paranormal Port Washington.

About the Port Washington Ghost Walk
& What Makes It Different
Your evening begins in historic downtown, where a guide will lead you through the streets, sharing firsthand accounts of the paranormal — true experiences from residents and from our own investigations. These aren’t borrowed legends or hearsay. These are the stories rooted right here in Port Washington.
At a certain point, your guide will hand you a map and send you onward. From there, you’ll find your way to three sites where PWGW investigators will be stationed all night where they’ll share the activity documented at each stop.
Finally, your map will direct you to Union Cemetery — the most haunted ground in Port Washington. Guides stationed there will lead you through stories and spaces that have generated some of the most chilling encounters we’ve ever recorded.
For the bravest and most curious, the 9:00 ghost walk culminates in an actual investigation in Union Cemetery. Our investigators provide equipment and know-how; you provide the curiosity (and the courage).

Nuts & Bolts...
Times
Ghost Walks begin at 6:30 PM both evenings, with additional starts every 30 minutes through 8:30 PM.
The 9:00 PM walk is a special edition that concludes with the Ghost Hunt at Union Cemetery. FULL
Where
Your tour begins in downtown Port Washington and finishes at Union Cemetery. Guests provide their own transportation between the two.
How Long
- Downtown portion: 80–90 minutes
- Union Cemetery portion: about 20 minutes
- 9:00 PM Ghost Walk + Hunt: add another 90 minutes (or more, if the spirits are especially active — and they often are).(Update: We're sorry but both ghost hunts are full)
Space Is Limited
We want you to have a great experience, not a crowded one.
- Ghost Walks are capped at 16 people
- Walk + Hunt is capped at 9 people

Self-Guided Portion
Yes, part of the downtown walk is self-guided but we promise you won’t get lost. With your map, you’ll find all three haunted destinations, where our researchers are waiting.
Ghost Hunt
Led by investigators with years of experience, you'll participate in an actual paranormal investigation. We put the equipment in your hands, show you how to use it and take you with us to active locations in Union Cemetery - arguably, the most paranormally active location in Port.
