Caper Company creates immersive, historically rooted ghost walk experiences in Wisconsin.
Since 2010, we have researched, written, and produced guided walking tours and site-specific programs that explore the unexplained stories embedded in local places.
Our work ranges from intimate ghost walks to larger theatrical collaborations developed in partnership with cultural institutions. Every experience is grounded in first-hand accounts, documented investigations, and careful historical research.

2026 Season: The Port Washington Ghost Walk
In 2026, Caper Company will present its cornerstone experience: the Port Washington Ghost Walk.
On select dates during the summer, we will offer early evening tours through historic downtown Port Washington and into Union Cemetery. These walks feature first-hand accounts shared with us by residents, business owners and members of our investigation teams.
As October arrives, the experience shifts. Our fall season moves into full darkness, and the atmosphere deepens. The stories remain grounded in lived experience and documented investigation, but the setting brings its own intensity.
We do not present urban legends. Every story we hard on the walk comes directly from those who experienced it.
The Port Washington Ghost Walk has been offered since 2010 and continues to evolve each season.

Spirits of the Silent City
For three seasons, Caper Company co-produced Spirits of the Silent City at Forest Home Cemetery — an immersive, research-driven evening experience that brought Milwaukee’s “forever citizens” to life.
